The inspiration behind my design came from the associations New Era in the UK has with shadowy urban sub-culture as opposed to baseball. Consequently I chose to celebrate ‘Nyx’, the Greek primordial goddess of the night. My location in Camberwell Green was on the opposite side of the road to a sign that said NEVER GIVE UP. I liked to positive community message it broadcast but felt it was going unnoticed. It was a fun project, we liked the idea that you could print with anything you could lay your hands on.
